So, when I was consuming my daily coffee at my favorite coffeeshop at University today, suddenly, 6 or 7 japanese exchangestudents came over to my table and started talking to me; in a mixture of english and japanes and gigglish.
Hi! (lots n' lots of giggling from the students)
Um... Hei. (Me, very confused, still in my imaginary world - the one I was writing about in my diary when they came over.)
We want to learn about UNIVERSITY.
Um...Ok. (I really did not want to reject them, but as they were nodding their heads and giggling really loud I realised I didn't know ANYTHING about the University of Oslo)
We want to learn about famouse place university.
Um... This is the library (I said, and could have continued, and this is where I live, or this is all i know, except from where you can get coffee, I know where you could get coffee)
We been to library, now we want to go to famous place.
Do you mean like a um... coffeeshop? (obviously this is the most famous place I could think of at my university, I mean hello, when I think of university I think of coffee, there's so much coffee at university and it's so good.)
No. (and then they, all 7 of them, stood and stared and giggled)
I'm sorry. But you should ask those people over there. (Yes, I sent them to another table, and no, I didn't know them)
They said ok and thank you very much, and I held my coffeecup really, really hard. They wanted to take a picture of me. I said yes. All 7 of them took up their cameras. I made a peace sign like Yoko Ono, and they all giggled a little bit more. They said peace sign is very cool in japan. And then they walked away.
